Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is known for putting liberals in their place, which is what he did in another situation.
Gingrich decided it was time for someone to stand up to Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar from The View, and both of them might regret underestimating this fierce conservative.
Both Whoopi and Behar called Trump a liar on the episode, and Gingrich caught the two by surprise with one rhetoric question: “You mean like ‘you can keep your doctor, you can keep your insurance’?”
Instead of admitting they were wrong and accepting the facts, they managed to blather on about how Obama’s statement was a “misjudgment.” Oh, so if someone on the Right does it they are a liar and “literally Hitler,” but if someone on the Left does it they made a misjudgment? That makes perfect sense. When it comes to double standards, liberals have NO shortage.
Oh the hypocrisy, oh the double standard! When a conservative does something like this they are pinned to a wall, called liars, and even compared to Hitler, whereas when a liberal does it it’s a misjudgment. Yeah, now that is fair, and right, and just, and everything else the Left wants to believe it is and is actually not.
Newt, however, decided to stand his ground. He explained in detail his surprise when Donald Trump won the election, considering he had the extremely prejudiced media smearing him and his campaign.
Barack Obama was one of the most brazen liars on the political scene in his time in office. If something bad was happening, conservatives were the usual scapegoat; if something good was done, Democrats and liberals immediately took all the credit.
At the conclusion of this episode, Newt made his point by saying, “I think the American people concluded that he was a better gamble on our future than Hillary Clinton.”
