The Moon will cover the Sun on August 21 – causing a sudden drop in temperature and plunging the Earth into darkness.
More than half the planet – including 12 US states – will witness the once-in-a-lifetime event – dubbed the Great American Total Solar Eclipse.
A number of Christian fanatics have claimed the eclipse will herald the end of the world – and may be one of the prophesied 10 Biblical plagues.
Now a leading voice in the “Nibiru Cataclysm” movement has suggested it is proof a mythical alien planet will devastate life on Earth with an apocalyptic strike or near miss.
“This is indeed an amazing omen and a frightful sign”
Earlier this year, amateur stargazer and Christian numerologist David Meade predicted Nibiru – also known as Planet X – would appear in the skies on September 23, 2017.
It will pass close by or crash into Earth the following month, he said in his book Planet X – The 2017 Arrival.
His detailed analysis, based on Bible verses and the position of the stars and planets, was so compelling it was covered across mainstream media in both the US and UK.
Now Mr Meade has uncovered more evidence of the impending Armageddon – shared exclusively with Daily Star Online – and it suggests the eclipse heralds Nibiru’s arrival.

He told us: “The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017, is a major – huge – harbinger.”
Mr Meade points to the Old Testament book of Isaiah, Chapter 13, verses nine to 10: “See, the Day of the LORD is coming – a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger – to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.
“The Stars of Heaven and their constellations will not show their light.
“The rising Sun will be darkened and the Moon will not give its light.”
The conspiracy theorist then points to a stunning numerical coincidence he calls the “33 Convergence”.
He told Daily Star Online: “When the eclipse begins on August 21, the sunrise will be dark, just as Isaiah predicts.
“The Moon involved is called a black moon. These occur about every 33 months. In the Bible, the divine name of Elohim appears 33 times in Genesis.
“The eclipse will start in Lincoln Beach, Oregon – the 33rd state – and end on the 33rd degree of Charleston, South Carolina.
“Such a solar eclipse has not occurred since 1918, which is 99 years – or 33 times three.”
He then spotted the bombshell connection: 33 days after the eclipse, the stars will align exactly as the book of Revelation says they will before the end of the world.
That date? September 23, 2017.
Chapter 12 of Revelation describes a “great sign” in heaven. It is a “woman clothed with the sun, with the Moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head”. The woman will then “give birth”.
On September 23, the Moon will appear at the “feet” of the constellation Virgo – a virgin woman. At the “head” of Virgo on that date, there will be 12 “stars” – the nine stars of Leo and the planets Mercury, Venus and Mars.
Virgo will then appear to “give birth” to Jupiter.

Mr Meade previously talked about the astral alignment that pointed towards the “great sign” of Revelation – but has now revealed the connection to the eclipse.
- Eclipse enters through the 33rd state
- Eclipse exits at the 33rd latitude by Charleston
- Eclipse occurs 33 days out from the Great Sign of Revelation 12
He told Daily Star Online: “This is indeed an amazing omen and a frightful sign.”
Terrifyingly, Mr Meade’s prediction matches up with a shocking number of other “End of Days” prophesies.
Michael Parker, who runs the blog End of Time Prophecies, also told Daily Star Online the end of the world will start on September 23 – and the eclipse would signal the Second Coming of Christ.
Gary Ray, of evangelical Christian publication Unsealed, has predicted the August 21 eclipse will herald the start of the apocalypse.
He said the destruction will continue until a second total eclipse, on April 8, 2024 – something Mr Meade agrees with.
Reverend Donna Larson, who runs the blog Rapture and End Times, also warned the world will end this year – as did Robert Binnion, who runs the “end of time prophecy website” Nice Timing.
Some doomsayers believe the 10 plagues in the Bible have already begun – with unusual swarms of insects being reported.
The Nibiru Cataclysm myth dates back to 1976, when writer Zecharia Sitchin claimed that two ancient Middle Eastern cultures – the Babylonians and Sumerians – told of a giant planet – Nibiru – that orbited the Sun every 3,600 years.
Self-proclaimed extraterrestrial psychic Nancy Lieder then warned Nibiru would crash into Earth.
The wild conspiracy theory was ridiculed by the mainstream science community.
But then respected astronomers from the California Institute of Technology announced they had found evidence of a real planet up to 10 times the mass of Earth lurking in the outer reaches of the Solar System.
