Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez-Stalin (D-NY) is causing “legitimate panic” among Democrats.
That’s according to Rush Limbaugh and establishment Democrats.
Rush Limbaugh recently explained the phenomenon and what it means for the Democratic Party and the country.
From The Daily Wire:
Rush Limbaugh spent a segment of his talk radio show Tuesday addressing the response of the Democratic Party’s old guard to their new “rising star,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and her fellow “fresh faces” in the House. That response: “legitimate panic.”
“I think the Democrats, folks, are losing control of who and what they are, and I think they’ve been gobsmacked by it,” said Limbaugh. “I don’t think they saw this coming. I don’t think they saw the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez crowd coming, the Ilhan Omar crowd, [Rashida] Tlaib. They didn’t see it coming, partly because it’s generational. So they’re in a little bit of a quandary.” …
Then, of course, there’s those “radical freshmen,” particularly Ocasio-Cortez, Omar and Rashida Tlaib. “And then she’s got these radical freshmen who are politically and intellectually inexperienced, shall we say, ignorant, shall we say,” he continued. “Even if Nancy Pelosi is a full-fledged, 1,000 percent socialist, you don’t say so. You just don’t advertise it.” …
It really is ignorance on full display. And Democrats aren’t happy with her either.
Check out this piece, titled S*** AOC Says, over at The Washington Free Beacon:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D., N.Y.) short but busy stint on the national stage has certainly been full of colorful comments.
Known by her initials AOC, she’s insisted on being called a democratic socialist but also said she doesn’t “give a damn” if she’s called a regular socialist. She endorsed the two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians mere days before she said she would have to engage more with “activists” before deciding where she stood. She said the idea the Green New Deal involves a “massive government takeover” was untrue the same day she agreed with an NPR host saying it would entail a “massive government intervention.”
Her thoughts on issues like automation—”We should not be haunted by the specter of being automated out of work”—power—”I’m the boss,” she declared, because of her efforts with the Green New Deal—climate change—”the world is going to end in 12 years” if we don’t address it—the current state of the country—she thinks it’s not enough to do 10 percent better than the current “garbage” we are—and demographics—”that upper middle class doesn’t exist anymore”—have raised plenty of conservative eyebrows, leading to a great deal of ink spilt on the right-wing “obsession” with her. …
In the meantime, she’s annoying more established Democrats, appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone, and fighting on Twitter with all comers. …
We’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
