Billionaire Howard Schultz Has No Idea How Much A Box Of Cheerios Costs. Shocked To Learn It’s $4

Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, who is openly considering an independent run for president, struggled to answer when asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” how much a box of Cheerios costs.
As Schultz described himself as someone who understands the American people, co-host Mika Brzezinski surprised the billionaire with what should have been an easy question for someone who was just like regular folks: “How much does an 18 ounce box of Cheerios costs?”
“An 18 ounce box of Cheerios? I don’t eat Cheerios,” he responded.
When she revealed the price was four dollars, Schultz was shocked.
Brzezinski went on to answer her own question: “It’s four bucks.”
“That’s a lot,” he said, according to The Daily Beast.
Just before asking about the price of Cheerios, Brzezinski had asked Schultz to name his favorite GOP and Democratic presidents of the past 50 years.
Schultz said Ronald Reagan because he “never took his jacket off in Oval Office” out of his “respect for the office,” and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
His Reagan claim is not true, according to The Week, and FDR died 74 years ago.
Schultz has alarmed some Democrats and others, like fellow billionaire Michael Bloomberg, who believe a third-party bid could help hand the election to President Trump.
President Donald Trump was criticized last year for using an odd example to call for stronger voter ID laws, saying that identification is required for buying groceries. There is no such requirement.
“We believe that only American citizens should vote in American elections, which is why the time has come for voter ID, like everything else. Voter ID,” the billionaire told the crowd of supporters gathered at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
“You know, if you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card, you need ID,” Trump continued. “You go out and you want to buy anything, you need ID and you need your picture.”
He added that “the only time you don’t need it in many cases is when you want to vote for a president, when you want to vote for a senator, when you want to vote for a governor or a congressman. It’s crazy.”
