We have an update tonight in the case of a left-wing radical who viciously assaulted a young conservative activist last month at the University of California-Berkeley.

As TFP previously reported:

We still don’t know who the man in the video is.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Fortunately, tonight we have some idea. From Fox News:

Zachary Greenberg, 28, was arrested by university police about 1 p.m., after a judge issued an arrest warrant in the Feb. 19 attack on Hayden Williams, the school’s public affairs department said in a statement.

Arrest records from the sheriff’s office say Greenberg was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempting to cause great bodily injury.

The arrest came on the same day that officials decided to reopen the investigation, which had concluded a week earlier.

Williams was a field representative for the conservative Leadership Institute who was approached by two men who lost it at the sight of the group’s signs and proceeded to unleash a flurry of punches, sign-tearing, and knocking over their table.

Greenberg, who allegedly did the punching, is being held on $30,000 bail and slated for a Monday court date.
