Well, another year, and another Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is in the books, folks. And it seems one of the biggest takeaways from this year’s conference came from a speech given by President Donald Trump.
At various points during his speech on Saturday, Donald Trump could actually be heard nervously carrying on about a number of pointless things ranging from how great Tivo is, to how renewable energy could cause electricity to get cut off when the wind stops blowing. While some proclaimed it as “fiery” and “off-script,” the whole thing reeked of desperation from a man who sounded like he is on the verge of going to prison.

Needless to say, some of his comments were particularly interesting.
The White House tonight put out its transcript of Trump’s speech at CPAC.
The speech is 43 pages long and more than 16,000 words. https://t.co/gtBPqT32YE

For instance, when recalling the time he got on stage during a 2016 debate and encouraged Russia to steal Hillary Clinton’s emails, he claimed wasn’t committing treason. Instead, he played it off as if he was simply joking. Whether right, wrong, or indifferent in doing so, the question we should all be asking is this: Why was it necessary for Trump to address that at all? Considering he also spent a fair amount of his time mounting a ferocious attack on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, it suggests he fears there is an ample amount of evidence to substantiate the criminal charges he’s going to face for conspiring with Russia to rig the election in his favor.
If you don’t believe that fear is real, just take a look at how sweaty he was when he went on a profane tirade while speaking of Mueller.
“You put the wrong people in a couple of positions…and all of a sudden, they are trying to take you out with bullshit!” Trump said.
“Robert Mueller never received a single vote,” he continued, speaking of Mueller’s appointment to lead the Trump-Russia investigation.
At first glance, this is nothing more than typical (and pathetic) Trump behavior, whining to his supporters in order to convince them he’s somehow the victim in all of this despite his shady past and lifetime of crime. But upon further review, the sweat shed while going out of his way to say such things proves it was much more than that.
